HY-BL Small Dosing Pump Introduction

The HY-BL is a small solenoid dosing pump, designed as a reliable yet cost effective solution for metering chemical reagents into a process.

Designed primarily for applications where space is at a premium, the HY-BL can be surface mounted or foot mounted using the optional foot mounting bracket.  The HY-BL is designed to dose continually with the output flow rate manually adjustable using the front mounted potentiometer.

The HY-BL is powered from a switch mode power supply, suitable for a mains supply of 100 - 240 VAC 50hz or 60Hz.

HY-BL Method of Operation

The HY-BL is incredibly simple to operate.  With power applied to the dosing pump, the HY-BL will begin metering chemical into a process at a desired rate, using the front mounted potentiometer.  For low chemical dosing modes (below 20% of the rated output), the pump has a special low dosing mode which which can be selected using the selector switch. This restricts the output to a maximum of 20% of the rated output and the user can increase or decrease the flow rate anywhere on the 0 - 20% range, using the front mounted potentiometer.

The pump can either be permanently powered or switched on by using the relay output from a piece of control equipment, such as a pH Controller, cooling water controller or other piece of process control equipment.

With a fixed stroke length, the flow rate of the pump can be reduced using the front mounted potentiometer which adjusts the stroke frequency and therefore ensures precision control of the flow rate.

In addition to the potentiometer turn down feature, the HY-BL can be connected to a volt free signal which will automatically start / stop the pump.  The volt free signal input can come from a Low Level Float Switch or a Suction Lance Assembly.

The HY-BL is designed to IP65 specification, making it suitable for indoor or outdoor operation.  It has the option to be foot mounted or surface mounted to a flat vertical surface.

The HY-BL dosing pump is powered from a switch mode power supply, meaning that an AC supply voltage of 100 - 240 Volts at 50Hz / 60Hz can be used to power the pump.

HY-BL Wetted Parts / Liquid End

The HY-BL is designed as a chemical metering pump for industrial usage and as such has wetted parts developed specifically for chemical handling.

As standard the pump is manufactured with wetted parts in PVC, PTFE, and Ceramic.  The seals and O-rings are available in either Viton (© DuPont / Chemours) or EPDM as requested at the time of purchasing.

What's in the box with the HY-BL?

The HY-BL is supplied complete with everything required to begin metering chemical reagents into a process.

Supplied with the dosing pump itself are:-

• Injection Valve with 3/8" and 1/2" BSP male threaded connections
• Footvalve & Strainer assembly
• 1 metre of discharge tubing
• 1 meter of suction tubing
• Surface mounting kit

An optional foot mounting bracket can be included for no additional charge, if requested.

• HY-BL-03-09 for an output flow rate of 3.0 Litres / Hour at 9 Bar pressure
• HY-BL-06-06 for an output flow rate of 6.0 Litres / Hour at 6 Bar pressure
