Turbidity Transmitter Range
Turbidity Transmitters are unique devices which comprise a Turbidity Sensor with integrated electronics to provide an isolated 4-20mA current output proportional to the measured Turbidity range.
The Turbidity Transmitters are available in both submersible mounting which is ideal for monitoring Turbidity as part of an effluent discharge or other application where immersion mounting is required. Alternatively our Turbidity transmitters are available for inline mounting to measure the turbidity in pipelines as part of drinking water quality analysis or other inline application.
Turbidity Transmitter Ranges
From our TU8x25 ranges (the TU8525 inline turbidity transmitter and TU8325 submersible turbidity transmitter models) using the Nephelometric Turbidity technique with infrared light source, and a receptor positioned at 90° to measure back scattering in accordance with ISO 7027 – EN 27027 standards we're able to offer Turbidity measurements down to a resolution of 0.001 and as a high as a 400.0 NTU all in a single Turbidity Transmitter.
Alternatively - we offer a much higher turbidity range in our TU8x55 (the TU8355 and TU8555) models which can offer Turbidity measurements up to 10'000 FTU - which is designed for effluent treatment and aqua-culture applications.
4-20mA Turbidity Transmitters
Whether mounting the Turbidity Transmitter as a submersible or immersion Turbidity transmitter (such as the TU8325 or TU8355) or whether the using an inline Turbidity transmitter (such as a TU8525 or TU8555) the both will output a 4-20mA signal which corresponds to the recorded value.
The Turbidity Transmitters offer continuous or online Turbidity measurements without comprising on accuracy or repeatability. The 4-20mA current signal can be transmitted over a distance of up to 100m away (or can be viewed anywhere in the world using our online data logger), and the device is powered from the same two wires that receive the signal.
The isolated 4-20mA can be plugged directly into a PLC or into one of our universal instruments to display the corresponding signal on a screen. In addition the controllers of a level of functionality allowing set-points to be issued which can control corresponding control relays or alarm relays.
Turbidity Transmitters with Auto-Clean
Our submersible Turbidity transmitters (both model TU8325 and TU8355) offer an optional auto-clean nozzle. Compatible with either a compressed air auto-clean system or chemical auto-clean system, both enable the lens of the Turbidity sensor to be cleaned on a scheduled basis. By automatically cleaning the lenses of the turbidity transmitters - the auto-clean nozzle is designed to improving a periodic maintenance schedule and allow the turbidity transmitters to remain in situ with reduced human intervention.

The TU8525 Turbidity transmitter is designed to be mounted into a flow cell or sample line cell for giving continous turbidity measurements.
Designed for drinking water and other clean water analysis the TU8525 offers measurements as low as 0.001 NTU and as high as 400.0 NTU all in the same Turbidity Transmitter.
Output is an isolated 4-20mA signal for integration into a wide range of recorders, dataloggers, or PLC's.
TU8325 Turbidity Transmitter
The TU8325 Turbidity transmitter is designed to be mountined into a dip tubing for sumbersion into a process to give continous turbidity measurements.
Designed for drinking water and other clean water analysis the TU8325 offers measurements as low as 0.001 NTU and as high as 400.0 NTU all in the same Turbidity Transmitter.
Output is an isolated 4-20mA signal for integration into a wide range of recorders, dataloggers, or PLC's.
TU8555 High Range Inline Turbidity Transmitter
The TU8555 Turbidity transmitter is designed to be mounted into a flow cell or sample line cell for giving continous turbidity measurements.
Designed for high range turbidity analysis the TU8355 offers measurements across ranges of:-

- 0 - 1000 FTU
- 0 - 10'000 FTU
