pH Buffer Calibration Powders
pH Buffer Solution is an item of significant importance when it comes to the initial setup and ongoing maintenance of a pH measurement or control solution. Instead of purchasing premixed solution you can purchase you own pH buffer powder. This can be used to mix 500ml of pH buffer solution allowing you to store it until you need it.
pH buffer powders come in sealed sachets for exceptional shelf life and is supplied with an indicator & preservative to identify the pH of the solution and inhibit mould growth respectively. Each sachtet makes 500ml of buffer solution when dissolved into 500ml of deionised water. Our pH Buffer powder is laboratory manufactured to ensure that the pH value corresponds to the given value when mixed.
Any new AWE Instruments pH controller will be factory calibrated to ensure that it is ready to receive the input from a pH electrode. Unlike other pH electrode manufacturers, each and every pH electrode is tested before it leaves the factory, so that your pH measurement and control solution is ready for operation.
The pH electrode will still need to be calibrated to the pH controller before it is put into operation. This is done by using pH Buffer Solution of a known value, with your pH electrode. The process for calibration is simple and documented within the operation and maintenance manuals, for each instrument we provide.

BPB Buffer Powders
BPB 4
The BPB 4 is supplied at a pH of 4 and are sealed in sachets made of triple protective foil consisting of aluminum, polyethylene and paper which keeps the powder dry, protected, free-flowing and to allow for an exceptional shelf life.
The free flowing powder makes 500ml of buffer solution when dissolved in deionised water, meaning a full box is capable of making up to 2.5 litres of calibration solution meaning it can be safely stored until it is required.
BPB 7
The BPB 7 is supplied at a pH of 7 and are sealed in sachets made of triple protective foil consisting of aluminum, polyethylene and paper which keeps the powder dry, protected, free-flowing and to allow for an exceptional shelf life.
The free flowing powder makes 500ml of buffer solution when dissolved in deionised water, meaning a full box is capable of making up to 2.5 litres of calibration solution meaning it can be safely stored until it is required.
BPB 10
The BPB 10 is supplied at a pH of 10 and are sealed in sachets made of triple protective foil consisting of aluminum, polyethylene and paper which keeps the powder dry, protected, free-flowing and to allow for an exceptional shelf life.
The free flowing powder makes 500ml of buffer solution when dissolved in deionised water, meaning a full box is capable of making up to 2.5 litres of calibration solution meaning it can be safely stored until it is required.
